Where can I see a breakdown of my full seats and associated costs?

You can manage your full seats from the Admin Dashboard (accessible to team admins from the Team Page). When you start the upgrade process, you'll be able to review your current full seats and downgrade people to viewer seats, so you only pay for the seats you want.

What’s the difference between a full seat and an editor seat?

They’re exactly the same, we’ve just changed the name. In January 2024 we updated how we refer to paid seats across all of our products (Figma Design, Dev Mode, and FigJam). We used to call paid seats “Editor” seats; we now call them “Full” seats. Rest assured that this name change has no impact on the included functionality of a paid seat. How can I adjust who has admin privileges?

Any admin can adjust the permissions of any other team member. You can change permissions of each team member on the Team Page. There is no limit on the number of admins on a team.

What if more people are added to my team every month?

Accepted Answer

You can add new full seats to your team at any time. If you originally purchased the annual Professional plan, additional full seats will be charged at the monthly rate until the annual plan is up for renewal. Team admins will receive an email a few days before payment each month recapping what the bill will be and highlighting new full seats. Team admins will have the chance to adjust permissions before payment is collected.

Who is responsible for team payments?

Any user with a full seat can upgrade a team to the Professional plan by entering payment information. (This will make them a team admin.) After upgrading, only admins can access the Admin Dashboard and manage future payments for the team.

How do I cancel my paid plan?

Accepted Answer

You will be notified 30 days before your annual plan is set to renew. At this time, you can change the number of seats on your annual plan for the next year; otherwise, it will renew for the same number of seats again. You could also choose not to renew your annual plan, in which case all of your full seats would be paid monthly.

We do not have any discounts for non-profits. Anyone is welcome to use Figma’s free plan.

Do you charge sales tax or applicable consumption taxes?

Accepted Answer

Figma is required to charge sales tax or consumption tax in certain countries and US states. Applicable sales tax, VAT, GST, or similar consumption tax will be applied at checkout after the billing information is provided and before checkout is complete. Is Dev Mode a new product? Where can I find it?

Dev Mode is a new space in Figma to improve design handoff. Compared to our standard inspect experience, Dev Mode offers additional features to improve collaboration across teams, drive design system adoption, and speed up implementation. To use Dev Mode, go into Figma and turn on the green toggle in the top right hand corner of the Figma browser.

How much does Dev Mode cost?

Dev Mode is included with a full Figma Design seat on Professional, Education, Organization, and Enterprise plans at no additional cost. Users will also have the option to buy Dev Mode access only for $25 per seat / month on Organization or $35 per seat / month on Enterprise.

Do I need to purchase Dev Mode to inspect files?

No—you will still be able to collaborate and access inspect information as a free viewer. Viewers can and will still be able to access and interact with design files from view-only design mode where they can view measurements and property values, copy CSS, iOS, and Android code, export assets and comment on files and collaborate via cursor chat.
