CARP ON THE FLY FLOAT TRIP

Join our guides for a full day float down the lower stretches of the Colorado river where large populations of carp actively live, eat, and breed. Similar to flats fishing in the salt water, you will be actively sight fishing for these species. The carp are strong, brute like fighting fish that are sure to put you in your backing fast. With chances at catching a 20 lb carp and where 10 lb carp are common, the Lower Colorado is great place for anglers of all levels to try out their hand at landing this species. The area also has large trout populations and this trip often includes catching trout as a bycatch which is always fun.

This trip is only offered as a full-day trip as drive times and fishing time needed often exceeds the half day durations. The season for this trip is spring through the fall with the summer being the most popular time to target the species. Our Carp guides are experienced and obsessed with this species and are sure to show you a great experience out on the water.
