So a few things before I actually review this product. I was a heavy drinker for a long time and a very occasional pot smoker. I loved drinking and was meh about pot. During the pandemic, I had to quit drinking completely and I’ve been sober since but I’m always looking for a reasonable alcohol substitute. I’ve dabbled with kava and I like it, but after seeing a YouTube short ad, this product caught my attention. First off, it’s not the best tasting thing in the world. Prepare yourself for some bitterness, much like flavored, unsweetened seltzer. The effect is pretty amazing and intense, though. My wife and I split one can and I even felt that half-can. We split another, so one full can each, and I was rocked. But it was much closer to a pot high than it was an alcohol buzz. The next morning, I felt fine - no fogginess, no lingering effects, nothing. I’m not sure how “stackable” these are; if I’d had a second can I’d be out for the count. But maybe with a tolerance built another would come in handy. Where I really see this product shining is in social situations. It’s awkward to be around drinkers empty handed. In that way, and many others, sobriety is a challenge. But this product would let me have “a drink” in my hand, something to nurse that loosens me up, feels good, but no hangover and no flirting with a relapse back to alcohol.
